A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone,

I had my lap on the 12th June and had widespread but superficial endo and it was lasered off. After this I experienced heavy bleeding for around 2-3 weeks and my GP put me on tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding- which it did. Since then I have had no bleeding and have been on the progesterone only pill, like normal. The bleeding I can't really help you with post op. But I had endo pains for a good two months post surgery. When they remove everything they are cutting you so you need to remember that you are still healing. It is a pretty big op your body has just been through so give it some time rest recover.
My pains took 2 months to reduce and it took me about the same again to start going back to the gym etc.

Thank you so much for your reply, it's really made me stop worrying so much!! Perhaps I've been over doing it, went back to the gym 2 weeks ago and this could have potentially aggravated it and caused me to bleed.

Thanks again, that's really helpful!
