i've been having severe abdominal pain for a year now, it's pretty much a constant pain but then almost every second day it gets really bad and feels like someone is stabbing me, i've been to several doctors and hospitals and had 9 ultrasounds, 3 blood tests a CT scan and a bunch of other checks but nobody has diagnosed me with anything and therefore refuse to give me pain killers
one doctor suggested it might be endo but hasn't done anything further

I'm on Medicare & have a secondary & I go to any place or dr. I want. If you are having problems your Gyn should do it or send you to a surgeon that does that. My surgeon did my laprascopy last year & last week the colon & endoscopy. I would ask & find out. Best of luck to you. tigreyes
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member yeah i saw that but don't you need a referral to get that done? nobody is giving me one a few have mentioned it but then ask me to get another test done instead (ultrasound etc)
The only way your gonna know for sure is through a laproscopy
Look for an Endo specialist. Most ob/gyn's aren't taught proper care for endo.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member i was meant to have an internal ultrasound but they didn't end up doing it because at the time i wasn't sexually active and they were against doing it. i am now though so i probably can look into that now.
I've seen two gynaecologists, one recommended a mirena for my pain but she didn't say it was endo she just thought it was cramps and stuff, whereas the other who said it might be endo said i shouldnt get a mirena because it could make it worse.
I'm on the pill which helps in some sense; I'm able to skip my periods which is good because thats when the pain is at the worst and when I've had to go to the ER for it.
i'll look into an ultrasound again though, thank you xx
