Hi everyone! When I first got my period at 10 years old (10 years ago now), I had extreme pain and so went to my gynaecologist who suggested that it may be endometriosis, but due to how young I was decided against doing a laparoscopy. Over the years I have tried 3 different types of birth controls, many different pain killers, anti inflammatories, etc., and I recently had an IUD put in. The pain has gotten worse over the years (and started to include massive back cramps, leg pain, etc.) and I am… read more

Hi everyone
I've been trying to conceive for 8 years with only one positive pregnancy test (I miscarried at 5 weeks.) I just had a diagnostic laparoscopy and I have stage II (mild) endometriosis which is only located on the ligaments supporting my uterus. My ovaries are clear, but one tube is blocked. The tube was not blocked when I first started trying, but it is now. I'm awaiting an appointment with a reproductive endocrinologist to remove my endometriosis. I've heard lots of stories of… read more
I would recommend exciscion. Some people do conceive after laproscopic surgery. Ask you fertility dr to test your ovarian reserve as well as egg quality. They should also test hormonr levels during… read more
Had robotic laparoscopic removal of tissue for stage 4 deep pelvic endo back in Dec 2018. Had another hemorrhagic cyst rupture in Feb. My symptoms seem to have all returned, though not as severe. I'm wondering if anyone has had it return after surgery?
I've had laser once and two excision surgeries and hysterectomy. It still came back, each time w/in 12 months. Some of us are just that lucky, I guess. I assume that I have it somewhere that they… read more
Hi all,
Don't know if I just need to vent but some advice would be appreciated too. I had my third Laparscopy towards the end of May this year. The removed endo from the Pouch of Douglas and Pelvic Wall. After previous surgeries I have generally felt a good bit of relief in the coming months. I also have PCOS. I'm not feeling as much relief as I thought I would by now. This month has been horrific. I had two full weeks where I felt "periody" and had PMS bloating, moods, cramps etc. I finally… read more
If I'm honest I felt no relief from having a laparoscopy, I felt like my nerve endings were just on fire and it just allowed it to run rampant. UCLH referred to my pouch of diagnosis as an obliterated… read more
Good luck for your surgery
Because of my PCOS and endometriosis, I suffer from chronic pain and anemia which has led to significant weight gain (more than 60 lbs, 20 of it in the last 3 months). Now I’m going for a full hysterectomy in April and beginning hrt shortly afterward. I would appreciate any advice and/personal experiences. Thank you!
It’s said post 2018
I am about 6 months out from surgery with removal of endometrioma and reconstruction of my left ovary. I was on hormone treatment until a few months ago and have now had 4 cycles. I am experiencing very heavy bleeding for 4-5 days now with each cycle causing weakness and fatigue. My pain is much better, but the heavy bleeding is annoying/frustrating/life interrupting. I am going to make an appt with my surgeon, but curious if others have had similar experience.
I'm glad pain wise it has decreased for you. The first few months after surgery is always heavy bleeding and you have to remember that your body is still healing. Did you happen to do pelvic floor… read more
My doctor put on my form that I only need to take one day off for the surgery and then the next day from work. Does that seem right?? I know I shouldn’t believe everything I read on the Internet or see on TikTok, but so many people have said that it took them at least a week to start moving around normally again.
I was doing pretty well after surgery, walking, eating etc, but you can’t lift anything and have to limit what you do. I would definitely take more than a day but every person is different. I had a… read more
Hi guys,
My period ended a week ago, and I generally have clear discharge for 2-3 days then I get a few days with no discharge before ovulation. This cycle is different, I’m a week out and still discharging clear, thin, watery discharge! Not only that- I’m having pretty awful pelvic pain and back pain.
I’m delaying a call to the doctor because- well, we have endometriosis, it’s expensive to investigate! And it never ends- but I’m also wondering if I have another chocolate cyst.
Does anyone… read more
It’s day 1 of my period and I am in absolute agony. I have a pain in my left side and left knee which just won’t subside even with medication. I have very heavy bleeding/clots and have felt severely nauseous all day. I look and feel absolutely crap. Been referred to hospital and they have offered to burn off the lining of my womb but that won’t be until another few months. My question is do you think what I am experiencing is endometriosis? And also any suggestions on what I can do to ease the… read more
