Yes the bleeding is caused by the endometriosis.

Don't know if it's "normal" but I sometimes get spotting when I ovulate, one time it was heavy like a period, but usually it's just spotting. I just write it off as old blood being expelled from ovulation cramps. You could get tested for Bacterial Vaginosis, I believe it can cause discharge like that too.
