Migraines, Autoimmune And Mirena
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was put on progesterone pills in 2015 for endo. I had to get off the pills because I got a chronic migraine that lasted 3 months. Around the same time I was diagnosed with POTS and Sjogrens (an autoimmune disorder). Now, I get migraines multiple times a week.
Dr. wants to do Mirena IUD. I've never had an IUD.

Can anyone with migraines that has used mirena tell me if migraines got worse?
Can anyone with autoimmune disorders that has used mirena tell me if it caused any issues?

Its progesterone only bc as well so I would think that it may have the same effect that the norethindrone did since it was the same hormone involved. Estrogen triggers mine I cannot take any thing with estrogen in it.
