There is a facebook informational group started by a nurse who had endo and also worked closely with Dr. Redwine called Nancy's Nook. It is not a support group but rather a information center. They have several articles and studies in their file section meant to empower those with Endo with information because of all the wrong information about it out there. They also have a list of doctors who specialize in Endometriosis that their members report good results from, don't do any type of surgery other than excision, and for the most part do not suggest hormone therapy as a treatment for endometriosis. I've recently had lap last year and was put on Lupron. Aside from the horrible side effects less than a year later all my problems are back so I'm guessing my GYN missed a lot. I've made an appointment with Dr. Anthony O'Connell at Medical City Dallas who has excellent results based on information out there so I'm hoping he goes back in to take a second look. Anyhow there are a total of 4 surgeons in Texas they recommend, two in the DFW area (Dr. O'Connell is one), one in Houston, and one in Austin. Please join the facebook group and read the rules/information that they have available and in that is the list I referred to.

How did it go with Dr. O Connell? I know it’s been a few years, but I have a laparoscopy appointment with him for next month, and I’d love to hear your experience
