Anyone Taking Visanne Have Prolonged Periods?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I started taking visanne 7-8 weeks ago and had a noticeable reduction in pain however my first cycle while on the medication hasnt stopped and I'm going on 4 weeks. My gyno is suggesting I tough it out since it's working to reduce pain but I'm inclined to stop if the bleeding continues. Everything I've read so far about visanne indicates your period should become lighter and maybe even disappear so I'm wondering if anyone else had this side effect and was there a way to stop the bleeding?

Endo After C-section
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone delevoped endo/symptoms after a c-section? I never had health issues or endo symptoms until I had my son via c-section in 2016. Took over a year to finally be diagnosed with stage one endo. It just doesn’t make sense to me.

Can Depo Provera Remove Evidence Of Endometriosis So That A Surgery To Remove The Fallopian Tube And Ovary Would Show Nothing.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

If Depo is used for treatment of endo, is it possible for someone to have it and it not be noticeable even when a doctor is removing an ovary and fallopian tube, even when a biopsy is done?

Got Consultation With Endo Specialist. What To Ask?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, I am going to see an ob/gyn that specializes in abdominal pain and endometriosis. This is the first time I go to a consultation like this one and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice that could help me get the help. I've suffered extremely painful periods for about 10 years and about 1 full year of lower left abdominal pain that feels like ovulation but happens at all times of my cycle now. Thanks for the help everyone!

Pain Even If You Don’t Have A Period?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I haven’t had a period for several years
I’ve been on the pill since my last laparoscopy (which I had not long after my youngest daughter was born) and I’m very fortunate that it seems to have done the trick up until recently.

The last 6 months or more, I have been getting pain in the same regions that I experience endo pain.
I’ve been thinking the pain is gastro related as I don’t have any periods, but my GP thinks it’s endo and has done a gyny referral.

So does anyone else experience… read more

You're most welcome. Incidentally, I'm not sure where you are in your endo journey. Birth control can help, but really they just mask symptoms. It's important that your doctor tell you that it doesn't… read more
