How To Speed Up The Diagnosis Process?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi everyone! When I first got my period at 10 years old (10 years ago now), I had extreme pain and so went to my gynaecologist who suggested that it may be endometriosis, but due to how young I was decided against doing a laparoscopy. The pain has gotten worse over the years (and started to include massive back cramps, leg pain, etc.) and I am… read more

Have u tried changing your diet. Look up foods that cause inflammation. I’ve cut out a lot to try help with pain and passing clots. Foods u r cut out are. Red meat. All dairy. Gluten and eggs. And fatty foods. Boring diet 🤦🏼‍♀️. I drink pomegranate juice and have some grapes everyday as they meant have anti inflammatory in them. It seems to be helping up to now. X

I agree with dnotko too, It seems the only certain way to diagnose Endo. I needed 2 laparascopic surgeries to diagnose then remove adhesions/endometrioma. Also first I had a hysteroscopy-(They use a scope to check inside uterus for polyps/fibriods and remove those, not to be confused with hysterectomy) I had the hysteroscopy first b/c my cramps and bleeding were so bad, and that aleviated some of my issues. When more issues came up, thats when I had to have the 2 laparscopics, and those helped me the most.Birth Control pills then Mirena has helped to control cycles, and now I rarely have any periods..Miraculous!

Hope you feel better..:)

I have not had one yet. The plan was to see if the IUD would help alleviate the pain and then go from there. Since it is not helping with the pain I am thinking that I am going to mention it to the next gynaecologist that I see
