Hi All, I have been previously diagnosed with endo - but now I have been told to reduce the occurrence of endo I need to get a mirena. Hormone treatment has never worked for me in the past and I have heard that the mirena can have some negative impacts on mental well being. Has anyone else had one? Thought? Experiences?
I am getting ready to start the Mirena. My doctor told me it was the best thing for me right now and it will help keep the thickness of my lining down. I was diagnosed with Endometrial Hyperplasia just last week. :( I am also so nervous about the IUD because I have read the horrible side effects, and I am against birth control because they always seem to make me worse. I will keep you updated to what I experience on it.
I am on the coil....have been for 13 months. Pain is less than before although i still bleed. I hate it though as I cannot ans have not bedn able to have sex with my husband once as it is too painful. So frustrating 😪😪😪😪
I have had the Mirena coil for nearly 5 years! It has helped slown down the regrowth of my Endometriosis, but did little to combat my pain. However, I also take the combined pill and together they work amazingly! I do suffer with anxiety and depression, but that was already there before I had my coil fitted. Hope this helped x
