When you were diagnosed did you get any help, like pain meds or any further doctors appointments to watch you and see how you are doing. I was diagnosed now in january and I fell like my doctor just told my I have endrometriosis put me on the pill and nothing more. The pill has helped alittle but I didnt get any more help, I dont have any good pain meds that work. I feel like I should be alot more informed than I am about what can help me? How was you diagnoses, did you get help?
Hey sister. I got diagnosis through physical examination and then a lap where they burned everything off. Took me 6 weeks to recover. The doc just told me i had extensive endo and i would likely need surgery again. He also told my husband and i to try to have kids after the recovery as it would be our best chance of conceiving. Which it was. I actually got pregnant twice back to back and now have two little ones. But long story short, no i never heard anything more about endo until i found this site and started reading books. You really have to push for supoort and make sure you have a gyno that knows a lot about endo!! Easier said than done i know :/
Most doctors don't know enough about this disease to provide you more information other than 'take birth control', which isn't a solution.
