Does Visanne Or Endo Make Your Boobs Get Bigger?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Heres an odd question. Does visanne or endo make your boobs bigger? Ive been the same cup size since I was 14 but lately Ive seen a signifigant change. Theyre also very sore often. I havnt gained weight anywhere else so its a bit odd to me. Not a big deal just curious!

It really depends on the person with the side effects! Visanne helps reduce the growth of endometriosis. Its a progestin, which reduces the effects of estrogen on tissues such as the endometrium (lining of the uterus) and the breast. (I literally copied and pasted that last sentence lmao). It has definitely eased my pain a signifigant amount! Mine was super bad, I could never leave bed and now I am back to functioning in society hahaha. The side effects did go away for me except the sore boobs! But before I used to vomit, i was hungry every second of the day, i was super emotional, etc. Im glad im on it now though

I went from a DD which I've been since 15 to an F cup in the space of a few months. I spoke to my surgeon and she said that progesterone medication (which visanne is) can cause breast growth. So I'm now going down the reduction route because it's so uncomfortable and I've now got neck and back pain

Definitely not endo! I swear I’ve had minus boobs my whole life. I’m not on visanne but am looking into it. Could be a nice side effect for once!

Mine may have swelled up some and been tender for a bit in the very beginning, same as when I would get pms every month. It eventually went away. How long have you been on it?
