The shoulder pain from tje gas they use in surgery can be painful. So have gas-x handy. Sleep propped up or in a recliner, that will help with the gas pain. Keep a pillow over your abdomen when u move around, or have to laugh or sneeze.

yes the shoulder pain is a nightmare, i had loads of pillows and tried to keep myself upright as much as possible. Avoid speed bumps after surgery! That was the worst, had to literally stand up whilst going over them as it affected my stomach big time. Keep hydrated as much as possible. Good Luck x

I found the worst part was the shoulder tip pain after (everyone has different experiences with it though) but the only thing that helped was getting a warm blanket and pushing it on my shoulder then getting my mum to massage it. My other tip would be to just relax, don't try and push yourself too hard and keep up your meds even when the pain is managed, you don't want to have to wait for the drugs to kick in when the pain is really bad.

I have sadly had 22 soon to be 23 lap surgeries. Recovery is no more than 2 weeks. Typically within a week you will be fine, but take the full 2 weeks to fully recover.. The worst part of recovery is the shoulder pain from the gas they use.
