Lupron
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi ladies. I am new here and i guess relatively new to the world of endo. I went to the ER about 2 month's ago for pain that wasnt going away. They found a large cyst on my left ovary after multiple tests. I found an amazing dr and he did excision surgery a month ago. He said i have stage 4 endo. He removed the cyst and the endo he could but unfortunately alot remains. I am starting Lupron on Monday (dr also stated hes putting me on an "add on" medication as well). Any positive experiences on Luread more

i was on a lesser version of liupron and i just can’t remeber the name but it was literally just a version that had a smaller dosage. everyone is different but it was the worst experience of my life. within 48 hours of taking it i has full blown acne, crying spells, depression, anxiety, aggravation, nausea, and was starting to show signs of suicidal thoughts. even after i was off of it it took about a week for me to feel better since the acne took a very emotional strain on my confidence. (i have never ever had more then one pimple at a time in my life and my forehead and cheeks were completely covered). after i stopped taking the meds, my body got all messed up and i probably had the worst period of my life and spent two days in the hospital because of pain. after reading this i would not be surprised if you were hesitant to want to take lupron but before you swear it off, i jut wanted you to know that i do have a history of having these sorts of side effects when it comes to taking pain meds. like i said, everyone is different and reacts differently and i wish you the best of luck

Friedman i had just one monthy injection and I refused to continue this horrible treatment. The side effects lasted for about 20days and now i m 60days after the shot and i m still waiting for my period.I have terrible bloating and every night i feel like my period its coming but nothing yet!!My doctor told me that the first injection is not that effective but guess what|??For me it was and the prove is that i m still waiting for my period. Its the worst “treatment “ and the problem is that its not actually treatment

I m on lypron and unfortunately my experience is horrible.Everyone is different.I m waiting my period after lypron(its been 8weeks since injection)I had really bad side effects and i didn t even complete the 3months “therapy”.I think with the add on therapy side effects would be lighter. I did a research about lypron and since its not an actual therapy i m not sure if it deserve to try it.I refused the second injection
