Knee Pain And Endometriosis
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey guys,

I have struggled with really bad knee pain for 3 years, and have recently been diagnosed with endo.

Online it says that nearly 50% with endo have leg pain, but has anyone else had knee pain.

I went to a physio and she said she thinks i have patellofemoral knee pain.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

my knee pain started on the same side as my endo pain!! now i think where i have tried to put more pressure on my other knee (so its less painful) but i've ended up with two painful knees!

i was reading it could be lesions on your nerves?

but its hard to know who to ask, because no doctor seems to really know enough...

Yes! But my knee pain didnt start until after I had my surgery, when all my symptoms started coming back they brought new ones - and knee pain was one of them. I've been sent to all kinds of doctors because mine doesn't think it's related to endo. Never had a single problem with my knees until that point 🤷‍♀️

I seem to have so many symptoms that I'm scared to mention in case it sounds like I'm going crazy! At least now that two of us have mentioned it we can get a little peace with it. And I was thinking nerves too, I get a lot of weird nerve pains around my hip and into stomach, groin and back. It makes me nauseous. I'm actually wondering if I have endo on my femoral nerve... infact this all started for me with pain near the femoral nerve, and they suspected a femoral hernia only to find out I have endometriosis. Oh it makes so much sense now...
