My urine cultures always come up negative too. But I had urinalysis done through microgen which checks for bacteria using DNA. It's apparently 99% accurate. Anyways I had alot of e coli and Enterococcus in my sample. I was treated with antibiotics and retested but the same 2 bacteria were still there possibly suggesting that endo or something else is causing some sort of chronic UTI. I'm still figuring out this puzzle. I had a lap on August 27

My doctor DOES suspect endo and I'm scheduled for a lap in August. I am not prone to bladder problems but since they removed my uterus and both ovaries....now the endo only has the bladder and bowel to grow on. Uggh!

Yes....I know about IC. I already had the tests to rule that out. I also had microgen testing which showed high amounts of e coli and Enterococcus bacteria. But I'm trying to figure out how and why I got the UTI. My estrogen levels are fine. I have been told endometriosis can be associated with recurring or difficult to treat UTI'S

Before my Endo diagnosis I thought I had a UTI but the test results came back clear. After talking to my specialist he diagnosed me with Painful Bladder Syndrome which has many of the same symptoms of a UTI. It is also very likely caused by the Endo. Something to maybe look into.

I might ask for the DNA one. Since I’ve started Paleo AIP diet I haven’t had any problems though which is so amazing. I like wearing shorts and pants and hated haveing to wear dresses and skirts all the time.
