Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. My mother told me she also had endometriosis when she was few years older than me and even with endometrioma in one ovarian, she could get pregnant and give birth to my sister.. Could you share with me if you have similar experiences… read more

I’m in the same position, just started dienogest. I’m 37 years old and terrified I’ll end up childless. I have two endometriomas, extensive lesions, and damage from one of the endometriomas leaking… read more
I had a laparoscopy surgery done 2 years ago. My diagnosis is Chronic Endometriosis. I didn't know about stages the disease has until a friend of mine asked me do you know what stage I have.
Today pains getting worser back again.
I take Alleve Excedrins at times Tylenol Pepto for now nauseous bad headaches, real sick I get before getting my period.
What happens if I decide not to have a hysterectomy? Is it good or bad?
You need to go back to the doctor that diagnosed you. Never be afraid to ask questions or to tell them about all your concerns and all possible symptoms. Don't worry about feeling stupid or… read more
Is it a phase of endometriosis? I am just wondering, if deep lesions can appear also in patients with light level of endometriosis if they do not cure it with any kind of medication?
I have Heard a lot of stories, and I am more and more convinced that there is no always logic in the spreading and in the illness respectively.
Hi! I had my first laparoscopy a week ago and endometriosis stage 1 was confirmed. It was primarily found on both ovaries and my bladder and part of my bowel was adhered to my abdomen. My question is how the stages can correlate to infertility, due to the fact it was found on both my ovaries.
Also I believe they did ablation to remove the endo, is it likely it will come back in the future? Even at stage 1?
I’ve always suspected endometriosis, but now I have the diagnosis I feel relieved to… read more
Hello. Anyone menopausal and still having pain? My doctor is convinced that at 51 my endo pain will decline soon and took me off my Norethindrone daily maintenance and Mirena IUD. Crashed and had severe cramps for 3 days. Still having pain in my right side. Hoping the doctor is right, but after 30 years of dealing with pain (post a confirming laparascopy surgery in my 20s), I still feel dismissed and unheard. Thank you.
Thank you. I will look into a second opinion and research gynecological surgeons in my area (San Francisco). It's been a tough road to get a good recommendation.
Has anyone had excision surgery done by Robert Furr? I have a phone consult with him on Wednesday. He was listed on Nancy Nook's page. Thanks.
I am told he is fantastic. I know he is vetted and follows the footsteps of Dr. CY Liu whose daughter is also an excision specialist.
He left Chattanooga. I will be finding out where he is now.
Ever since using paragard in 2012, I started dealing with pelvic pain and ovarian cyst ruptures. The heavy bleeding each month was horrible to the point where I had to use bladder protection underwear. In 2016 I had a severe cyst rupture where the discharge looked like melted chocolate. The two gynecologists ive seen (mine back in IN and my current one in CA) didn't seem concerned enough to suggest a laparoscopy despite essentially being in constant pelvic pain from ovulation to the start of my… read more
So with staging of endometriosis, it's staged by how much the endo will impact fertility, not by pain and so forth. Endo is weird in that someone with stage one may have severe pain while someone with… read more
Can you have stage 4 endometriosis without any endometriomas showing up on the ultrasound?
Sadly, It is difficult to pick up endo on ultrasound unless the physician is REALLY skilled and knows what to look for.
New here but sadly not to endometriosis. Obviously I live with the burden of this disease running my life and marriage so after a year of being told I need a hysterectomy I have scheduled it. The Dr is saying 6 weeks for healing. We are doing laparoscopic with the possibility of abdominal removal as I have Stage 4 and it is covering my bowels and possibly reached my bladder. Any of you who have had a hysterectomy please tell me how long did it take until you could move around at least for an… read more
