Dear All
I am 48, I started my periods when I was 11 and started bleeding from my umbilicous when I was 17. I bleed vaginally as well each period but have apprx 2 periods each month, and have done so ever since for the last 20 years. I am now flooding each week and I'm convinced I also have fibroids. Have you been diagnosed with adenomyosis or endometriosis? I'm no doctor, of course, but it sounds like fibroids are causing the bleed out.

Have you seen a vetted endo specialist? Not many GYNs are skilled in either of these debilitating diseases. PLEASE seek a specialist.

Meanwhile, have you discussed your fears with your employer? If you have the medical records/GP to support your illness, you cannot "legally" be dismissed. Therein lies the rub, if they are intent on letting you go. They will "create" a justification.

Your health MUST come first, though I certainly understand "loving" what you do.

Ask for an endometrial ablation can help slow and in some cases stop all bleeding.
