Endometriosis On Cervix And Pelvic Walls

Does anyone know if you can have bladder symptoms with endometriosis growing on your cervix or pelvic side walls??? I did have 2 TINY pieces on my bladder but I wouldn't think that would cause severe symptoms

Members confirmed that endometriosis can absolutely cause severe bladder symptoms, even when only small amounts are present on the bladder itself, with many sharing personal experiences of frequency, burning pain, and urgency linked to their endo. Several members described their diagnostic journeys, including cystoscopies with hydrodistension, urodynamic testing to evaluate muscle function, and working with urologists to rule out interstitial cystitis or identify muscle-related issues, bacterial infections, or biofilm concerns. A recurring theme was that bladder symptoms may persist after excision surgery and could stem from multiple overlapping causes, making collaboration between gynecologists and urologists essential for finding relief.

Two catheters-then they fill up the bladder while monitoring the muscles through those catheters to see how the muscles are functioning.

Hi cRobinson,
What does urodynamica testing involve??

So I’m not totally sure that my bladder issues are endo related. I had the cystocopy w/hudrodistension during my last surgery in May which is where the potential IC came about and sent me to the urologist. She didn’t feel initially that’s it’s IC but did some urodynamics testing (very comprehensive) to see what the issue might be (uncomfortable but relatively quick) and found that the muscle that releases urine is working too hard. So I’m going for another cystoscopy this week to see if there’s an issue. I def notice bladder pain when my endo flares up and have always had the urgency and frequent urnination. I’ll fill you in after the next testing, but definitely worth talking to a urologist is you're concerned!

As far as endo/hormone treatment I am doing a urine test to see about hormone levels soon. I am interested to see what that shows!

Crobinson,
What type of issue would be going on with the muscles?? Have you done DNA urine testing through microgen??? I have a history of endo most of my life but it NEVER caused me bladder issues until 10 mths after my total hysterectomy. Then ...I got a UTI. I have had nothing but trouble ever since. I've had the cystocopy with hydrodistention, ct scans AND surgery where they removed a ton of endo that had grown back. Eek!!! Anyway my microgen testing also showed high levels of E coli and Enterococcus and I'm thinking I may have a biofilm infection. I have alot of abdominal burning down low. Stay in touch with me and let me know what happens. Maybe I need to look into the muscles issue too. I appreciate your help. Do you also have vaginal burning??

Yes burning in lower abdomen for sure. She said some discomfort could def be from endo but she thinks this is an unrelated issue that pertains to the muscles all together. Having tests this week to hopefully get to the bottom of this!
