What Should I Expect At A Pre Op?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Tuesday I have my Pre Op. Then next Monday I will have the lap. I start getting more nervous as each day passes.

I was very nervous before my first one not anything to really worry about just listen to your body after and dont try to over do it right away I did because I thought i was super woman and i ended up passing out and hit my head on the counter thankfully i was fine but take it easy and rest. the worst for me was remembering to take it easy and the pain i felt in my collar bone and shoulder after from the gas they put in but only lasted about 2-3 days but over all it wasnt that bad and I felt sooooo much better after all was said and done! good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery!

Nothing to be afraid of, if yours is similar to mine!

My pre-admissions testing normally just consists of talking with the PA to the anesthesiologist and filling out medical history stuff. I know they told me it depends on the doctor, but according to them, some doctors have you do urine testing at pre-admissions. Not sure if pre-admissions is what you're meaning. I know with my pre-op RIGHT before surgery, they pump meds into me for the surgery and also have me do the urine testing as well.
