Has anyone experienced Gastritis with Endometriosis. I have had 2 surgeries in the past for moderate-severe endo. My first surgery was done my a general surgeon (not a specialist) as I had so much pain and found walking hard. They cut out a rugby ball size cyst. Id always had a pot belly
2nd surgery at 21, it was all over the show but no big growths that could be identified on any scan. I am now 34, Ive had 2 kids, yay. But before the kids I noticed I was having times of extreme cramps, that I… read more

Yes it can cause gastritis. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy just today. Very much so. I have that gastritis and had an esophagus dilation. I have now been told I have ibs- which is from the endo. I also have duodenitis.

I have painful bowel movements. Also where I feel like it’s not all coming out properly. I have constipation that started before during and a bit after period that is now all the time. My stomach area was burning. My ribs and stomach are squeezing. My chest hurts from It all. My diaphragm is so tight and makes it hard for me to breath. I have issues and we think it is thoracic endo.

I did test for heli bacteria chur. Negitive. Its very rare in nz where i live.

I have adenomyosis as well as endo thats what they found when they went in. But stop short of a hysterectomy there aint no treatment for that. I eventually came right after a year and could drop omeprezole. Why i will never know. 4 years down the track same probs… i had taken voltaren 3 times a day topically in hip and all the stomach issues are back again. Back on omeprezole. Good times. Im trying out even more - cbd, slippery elm, ginger (these are some things that help or wouldnt mention) and enzymes with a meal once a day. I got better and healed but coming off of omeprezole is hard, the rebound acidity hasnt seemed to go away and im still on 20… waiting….

Also no nsaids for me ever again, not even topical. Its on my charts after recent gastroscopy 😅

Did you end up getting a diagnosis?

Anyone who is experiencing burning in their lower tummy should do a test for helicobacter asap and treat it if found. Happy to discuss if you need to.
