Has Anyone Had To Quit Their Job Due To Endo?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I recently had to quit my job due to the heavy bleeding and pain I suffer from endo. It was becoming too hard to miss work every month. I feel terrible that people might get the impression that I’m lazy or I’m over reacting. My husband is very supportive... thank God. Am I alone? or has anyone gone or is going through this? Thank you ladies!

Sacha777 i’m Sending you my love. I know it’s terrible :( but you are not alone. Have you tried essential oils for the pain? My friend made me an essential oil blend and it worked wonders on me! It helped lower the pain. It took me about 1 to 2 periods for it to work.

Essential oil blend:

Geranium-20 drops
Lavender-10 drops
Clary sage-10 drops
You mix it into a carrier oil (coconut oil).

You can put it into an empty roll on bottle. And apply it on your lower abdomen.

Sending you lots of hugs!

Yes, i am now on disability after 9yrs of college. I had approx. 17 surgeries for endometriosis. My drs said I was in the top 5 % of this disease. I tried all the hormones, etc.with the disease only getting worse. I had to see gynecologic oncologists and was told to expect a coloscopy with almost every surgery. Thank God I didn't.
To answer your question, I felt like the biggest failure! I still have to take pain medication to have any quality of life. Even though I had a great career, I know my health problems will interfere with my ability to work. I tell myself it is not my fault, but I hate living off of disability & hurting every day. I'm also afraid of what the future holds for me. Do you have these feelings as well?

It feels so good to know that someone else is experiencing what I'm going through!

Thanks DA30. I have been using topical ointment and that seems to help a little. I have not been able to get a hold of oil’s. I have heard many good things about them though.
