Please Reply Regarding Pelvic Floor PT

Curious to hear about other experiences with pelvic floor pt!

Did it help your pain, symptoms, even at all? and how so?

Did you find that after a session you are in pain for a day or 2?

- I expect the soreness that arrives post internal work, but if my uterus also aches more after is that a red flag it isn’t helping?

I have gone only 4 times so far but am still unsure how to tell if its doing something.

Ive been receiving P/t since the beginning of the year to address my overactive pelvic floor muscles and I most recently started using the therawand. My muscles have been extremely responsive to both therapies, I actually feel my pelvic floor muscles relaxing. depending on how long or how hard I massage my muscles ( with the therawand) I will definitely have cramping the next day, However, the cramping shouldn’t be excruciating. If it is then maybe try to lessen the massage pressure. lower body stretching/yoga also helps with reducing the pain

I've been doing pelvic floor PT for a few months now...It's very much improved pain with intercourse, using tampons, etc. I don't notice much difference in my menstrual pain, and have been having a lot of sciatic issues/numbness in legs and feet that isn't resolving. I think it's normal to feel pretty sore, but maybe not for as long as you're experiencing it. Maybe communicate that with the PT and they can do gentler work for a while? I've been using the dilator and also found out that I have a "short" canal, so some of that work hurts because I'm apparently poking at my cervix. My PT has been great at listening to my feedback, adjusting therapy based off what's working and what's not, etc. Have you done anything with a trainer/dilator yet, or biofeedback?
