Has Anyone Ever Had A Cyst In There Ovary? And What Was Done For Treatment For It?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had an internal ultrasound today for pain new pain had for 2 months they’ve found quite a large cyst inside my ovary. I may just be panicking over nothing but I was meant to be trying for a baby about now. I only have 1 ovary and I’m so concerned 1. It could burst and burst my ovary and 2. That the gyne may have the take my ovary out. I’m quite frankly terrified, I’ve always wanted kids, there’s nothing I want more. Any advice or experiences people have had I would be so grateful to hear 💛

Has Anyone Ever Done A Transvaginal Ultrasound, Specifically For Endo?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

ok so this might go into TMI but I just wanted to ask if anyone here has ever done a specific ultrasound for Endo which is a transvaginal one? I have an appointment to do one on Tuesday and its my first one ever.
I have to have a laxative and an enema before the appointment and I've never done anything like that before, I'm quite nervous about the whole entire thing. So if anyone here has ever done ANY of this before, I would like to know if its uncomfortable or any thing like that. Thanks.

I had a transvaginal ultrasound before my laparoscopic surgery. It didn't really hurt at all, since the wand is well lubricated. I didn't have to have a laxative or enema, so that's odd that they're… read more

Pain During Ovulation
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey, is there anyone who has greater pain and problems during ovulation? During my actual period I only get stabbing pains here and there but over a week during ovulation I get a lot of pressure and pain in my pelvis. My pelvis feels bruised, it's even tender to sit down. I also get what I can only describe as a pain attack it nearly always happens in the evening. It lasts a few hours. It comes on gradually and is very sharp. I feel it in my rectum, vagina, uterus, ovaries and what feels like my… read more

Endometrioma Cyst Or Chocolate Cyst
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Diagnosed with endo about six years ago, have always had heavy very painful periods but over the last few months it’s gotten much worse, can’t move my first few days, extreme bleeding (a super tampon +) every half hour to hour or so and a lot of pain going down my lower back into legs. Got an ultra sound and have a 4 cm cyst which doc says looks to be an complex endometrioma *chocolate cyst* with extensive internal echos on ultra sound which I’ve read means when you get these it means your endo… read more

My understanding is that excision surgeons are better at removing them. Apparently, most surgeons who do ablation just drain the cyst but leave the wall there, so it fills up more quickly. That's not… read more

Endo Cyst Question
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Recently diagnosed with Endo. I have cyst on left ovary. I meet with Gyn next week to discuss. I also have health anxiety and would prefer cyst to be removed. What are other’s experiences with this?

A MyEndometriosisTeam Member

I have multiple cysts, all of which I was told are too small to be surgically removed. I've also not been given any sort of medication to reduce them... with that being said the NHS in the UK is on… read more

Experience With Dr. Kimberly Swan In Overland Park, KS?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have experience with Dr. Kimberly Swan. I am considering having her do my surgery to remove a large cyst (endometrioma) as well as possible endometriosis. I have met with her but I'm still on the fence.

Just Got An Ultrasound Done In November And Got A Copy Of The Results. Both My Ovaries Have Complex Cysts With Septation And Debri.
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had chocolate cysts removed before and the ultrasound never said septation and debri. My fallopian tubes removed because they were adhered to my colon. Has anyone dealt with different types of cysts then the normal chocolate cysts ? Is this just the type of language they are using today with cysts? When do you decide to remove the ovaries ?

Medically Necessary To Remove Small Chocolate Cyst / Endometrioma On Ovary?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Last year, I had a laparoscopy where they removed a lot of stuff -- among them, a cyst on my left ovary and an endometrioma/chocolate cyst on my right ovary, which we knew about going into the surgery. Neither ovary was causing me pain before the surgery, and neither was all that large. My question is: does anyone know if cyst removal, particularly chocolate cyst removal, is medically necessary?
