Orilissa. Whats The Verdict?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi Ladies

This question is for any and all the women on here taking Orilissa.

Its been on the market since August 2018. Im interested in reviews. Any feedback, advice or warnings to share?

I know its practically Lupron in pill form but do you think Lupron in pill form helps control the dose and allowing us ladies something we can just stop taking is better than waiting for the injection to run itself out in our system?

I finally tried Orilissa for 2 weeks and so far it is doing wonders for my pain. Since taking the Orilissa I am able to not have pain when having a bowel movement and I do not feel the pressure and pain I felt once before.

I actually trying to get my insurance to approve the Orilissa. I was willing to try, but I am still in the waiting game.

After 6 months of Lupron I switched to Orilissa 2 times a day. The debilitating pain of Endo is gone! Yes, there are side effects, but I can function and live with those. It is worth a try before having extensive surgery. I have been diagnosed with one of the worse cases of level 4 Endo by my Dr. I am actually taking an add on to help w side effects. Lupron and Orilissa are two different medications that work different ly to address the Endo pain. With the Lupron it is addressing the pain, but I still have a lot of cycle side effects every 28 days . . . Migraines, ibs, fatigue then I feel fine until it cycles thru again. Lupron stopped everything but it had a lot more side effects itself. So Orilissa is it for me now. I recommend trying it. The good thing is that you can stop it when you like.
