Hey ladies, I posted previously indicating my doctor is treating me with Visanne and a blood thickner for SUSPECTED Endo. I myself thought I had it years ago, but reading all these posts, I'm not so sure... I know youre not docs but in your opinions if it sounds like endo please let me know. I'd hate to be treating something that's not even there

Just because you are able to keep a job or perform daily activities does not mean you do not have endo (sorry for the double negative). It affects women differently because so many factors are at play: age, genetics, other existing health issues, pregnancy/previous births, stress and pain tolerance, support system or lack thereof, job/school/family demands etc. etc. Yes, there are "classic" endo symptoms, but not all must be present to have it. I was once told by a gynecologist that "women who have endometriosis have worse pain than yours." I've since had doctors tell me that's BS, but at the time it made me downplay my own pain - "Well, so-and-so is literally laid out on the floor, crying in pain while I can go to work and school and grit my teeth through the pain. It must not be as bad." We are basically gas-lighting ourselves when we do that - telling ourselves that our reality is not actual reality, our pain is not "true" pain. That is absolutely insane. The heavy bleeding and pain you experience while on your period is consistent with endo. If you have a doctor that is taking you seriously and is willing to help you treat your symptoms, that's great. If your meds are helping and the benefits of said meds outweigh the risks, that's good, too. The GI/bladder symptoms you are experiencing may be related to endo or may be caused by other things - rule out everything that you can. Don't downplay your pain and try not to compare yourself to the other women here. Our collective pain is real and we all deserve to be taken seriously and to be treated.
Thank you so much, that was extremely helpful.
