Does anyone else experience shorter and lighter periods with horrible pain? I will get PMS symptoms on steroids followed by some brown spotting, then I will bleed regularly for a day or two and then more spotting and some light bleeding until it completely stops. I see so many women describe heavy bleeding but that's not me. I used to bleed for 5 days straight, starting heavy and then gradually slowing down. That's not the case anymore. I also experience pain and symptoms before, during, and… read more

Bbpointer, it might be a good idea to get an ultra sound, I had more noticeable pain on my right, and not only did I have multiple cists, but I had a 9-10 cm sized one on my right ovary. They can inflame during a period and of course that’s so painful. I hope this helps.

OMG - this is EXACTLY what I've been dealing with the past few months. Low-back pain is horrific (feels like someone is seriously breaking my bones), horrible pressure, lots of bloating, light-headed-ness/dizziness, crazy hunger, lots of trips to the potty and..... Where's my period? Oh wait, here it is - late and very light. Maybe 2-4 days. This is new for me. I'm a little concerned about all the extreme pain beforehand - what's going on inside?
I worry the endometriosis mites are building a wall or something... But yes, less and less bleeding.

When I was on Mirena I was experiencing what felt like horrible pms symptoms but I had zero bleeding. I figured if I was going to feel like crap anyway I might as well have the bleeding to go along with it so I felt a little less crazy. Lol

Mine fluctuates. Either it'll be a long, heavy, disgusting and somewhat painless period but full of side effects (nausea, night sweats, irritability and so much more) or it'll be a short period where the week prior I am a mess (spotting, heartburn, tired, abdominal pain, etc. along with everything mentioned above) and by time it gets here it's short and really brown sometimes looks black but no pain during cycle. Our bodies are a crazy thing!!!
