How To Deal With People Close To You That Say Well Other People Have Worse Diseases/conditions Than You?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I realize that there are worse diseases and medical conditions than endo but that does not diminish how endo affects my daily life. I also know this is not coming from a place of malice or ill will, but rather, a lack of understanding. Has anyone else experienced this, how do you deal with it? I don’t like feeling like I have to justify how endo impacts my life every single day.

Thank you Stacy! I completely agree with you, I find it very upsetting when I get comments like that or even just suggestions such as try just working out more, pregnancy cures endo, etc etc. I have sent quite a few people the video endowhat as I also find it informative. My first time watching I also broke down in tears. I think educating people is key but sometimes it can be exhausting. Thank you again for your comment and support!

Its a really hard condition to go through, yip maybe others are going through different pains, yip there maybe others much worse. though your pain also matters, your sharing how you feel which is also important. if people aren't empathetic and understanding, then they are not being caring. we are all going through different things, everyone on here, we are all part of a spectrum of this painful condition. it is good to talk about everyone's individual experiences, talking is important, we all could be a bit more empathetic towards one another in this world. x find good people who do listen and care x hot chocy in a café with a good friend chatting about life stuff is such a plus, forming a local group that can talk about the condition is good too x
