Hi, I started using Visanne about 3 months ago and am very worried about potential side effects. So far my skin has definately been worse but I’m also worried about hair loss. I seem to be shedding a lot of hair but it is hard to say whether it is more than usual as I have long hair and my husband was always complaining about my hair in the shower etc. has anyone else experienced hair loss on Visanne?
I started taking visanne about 5 weeks ago and im loosing a lot of hair. I am pretty sure its the hormonal treatment as when the doc administered Zoladex before the same thing happened in the past. When i stopped my hair wasnt falling as much and started regrowing. I wish there are other ways to cope with endometriosis. I am also bleeding for the past 3 weeks. Pretty upset what Visanne is doing to my body. 😢
Am going through same.
3 weeks visanne and am losing lots of hair. I really don't know what to do. On top of that, i have acute pain in the pelvic, groin or upper thighs area. Doctor has advised me to take Dolipran. I have two more months to go and am already freaking out.
I have the same problem 🙁I took Visannne for two or three months and my hair stayed to fall out so I stopped taking it. My hair continues to fall out and it’s been a year now.. about 40 percent of my hair has fallen out and continues to do so. We cannot figure out why. I spoke to my gynaecologist about it and she was not concerned so I spoke to my family doctor and we’re doing testing but coming up empty🙁
Hi Dorah, a specialist told me that hysterectomies to treat endometriosis is an outdated form of treatment. So I was very relieved that he prescribed Visannne as I’m horrified at the prospect of a hysterectomy, I’m 41. I have not experienced any serious side effects apart from now noticing hair shedding, so upset about this and not sure if it’s related. I have read that symptoms are likely temporary so I hope you feel better soon.
Good day C Grant, my side effect has been weight loss due to lack of appetite, I have been on Visanne for a month or two and im always nauseaous, vomit everything I eat. I am litterally living on yoghurt and fruit shakes have an appointment with my gynae in two weeks but im tired of changing treatments and do not need the lecture about a Hysterectomy being an alternative.
