SIBO And Endometriosis
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi all,

I just got test results back that I’m positive for SIBO and my doctor said the levels are some of the highest she’s ever seen. I’m going to try the herbal and diet treatment before antibiotics. Has anyone else experienced this condition? I’ve read that endo can be a causal factor for SIBO.

Thanks!

I had my SIBO treated by a naturopath a year and a half ago and it was the thing that made the biggest difference in decreasing my pain, more than excision surgery and longer lasting. I didn’t use antibiotics, I did berberine, garlic and anti-parasite herbs with very specific diets for each part of the treatment protocol. My treatment was about 3 months long too and I stick to a pretty restricted diet to keep my guts happy and my pain away. If they offer you alternatives to help with gut motility after the treatment I would highly recommend the low dose naltrexone.

What kind of testing was done for you ladies for this diagnosis? I also have a gastro Dr because I have a lot issues with food digestion, vomiting, constipation, etc...maybe I need to bring this up to my Dr. This is my second gastro specialist and he is working with the first one as well.
