Orilissa/ Mental Health Symptoms Versus Laparoscopy
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello everyone
I lived abroad for eight months and before I left I had a gyno that I didn't really like but needed birth control and Naproxen. I had a laparoscopy December 2014 and was finally diagnosed with endometriosis. Last summer I went to the er for pain and they found in the ultrasound that I had a cyst rupture in the past month (is that shit even normal? My body is weird as fuck sometimes). I have noticed endo pain increasing around my period, the usual shitty before, during, and after… read more

My doctor wanted to put me back on BC but I said no. My husband and I just tried IVF and it didn't take but I'd still like to get pregnant if possible. I went from 400 mg/day to 200mg/day bc the hot flashes were so bad! My periods have gotten so much shorter though!

Hi Ana, i just started orilissa 150. I am curious what your doc says you can take after Orilissa. I understand this medication is not a forever medication. Will you try bc again?

So I was just put on Orillisa for twice a day, 200mg tablets. My pain started to get better pretty quickly but I was more tired than usual. I did start to get horrible hot flashes. After going through this for 2 months, I dropped down to only 1 tablet per day and the hot flashes are gone. in between this time, I had my 4th lap in 2 years but it had gone wonderfully, best recovery from any surgeries I've had so far. Now that I've been on Orillisa for 3 months, my period only lasts for about a day, which I couldn't be happier about. Please let me know if you have any questions further!
