I've tried birth control and hate it. My doctor says my only option is a radical hysterectomy. I am only 35 and I am afraid of going into early menopause. The pain is so severe during my menstrual cycles. I have had 2 c-sections and the pain from them doesn't come close to the pain I feel during my cycles. Is there any other treatment out there besides a full hysterectomy ?
Im in therapy and it's so helpful!
I used to sleep great, but when I start getting endo pain I have a hard time staying asleep. If the tiniest thing wakes me up, that's it, I'm awake. If I take something before bed it wears off before it can help. And I don't always have an opportunity for a nap later in my day. Has anyone found a way to get restful, restorative sleep? Only getting 6 hours of sleep a night almost every night is really wearing me down.
When I get a flareup, I get about four hours asleep, so I usually take an edible and I sleep all night
Hi I'm new here and really need some help
I have painful periods, heavy and irregular. Bloating, constipation, diarrhoea, pain with bowel movements sometimes, frequent need to wee, nausea, headaches all the time. Constant dull ache in my lower stomach and back. But sometimes get shooting pains in my right side.
My ultrasound scan came back negative but I'm still in pain and feel tired all the time too. I'm seeing a gynae soon but I'm scared I might need a laparoscopy.
Please any help and… read more

I was curious if anyone else has ever noticed exercise helps symptoms? I was doing CrossFit regularly and I noticed my cramping, spot bleeding, pms symptoms subside. I noticed when I am heavily stressed they come full force. But doing intense exercise did the reverse.
I read in an article that doing core work is a no no due to pulling in the stomach and risking spreading the adhesions to the other side of the stomach ? It sounds logical doesnt it?
I find sitting for long periods of time makes my lower back pain worse. Does anyone else have this problem?

For those of you who have been on Visanne did you notice a change in your periods? My first one on it came late and lasted for about two weeks and this one is even later or possibly non-existent I had some cramps around the time I should have gotten it and maybe a drop. Can it stop your period altogether? My doctor never mentioned it when she prescribed it to me and it slipped my mind to ask. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Endo needs to be removed deep and wide by the excision technique. Not every OBGYN knows how. When it's done correctly the Endo has a very small chance of returning. Call one of these Surgeons and take care of yourself. If it's not possible to see one of these surgeons, still call and they can recommend a quality surgeon near you , who can give you good care.

Hi all,
Don't know if I just need to vent but some advice would be appreciated too. I had my third Laparscopy towards the end of May this year. The removed endo from the Pouch of Douglas and Pelvic Wall. After previous surgeries I have generally felt a good bit of relief in the coming months. I also have PCOS. I'm not feeling as much relief as I thought I would by now. This month has been horrific. I had two full weeks where I felt "periody" and had PMS bloating, moods, cramps etc. I finally… read more

Many people do not know about endo. We can educate our friends about it and open the dialogue. We didn't choose to have endo and it's not our fault. I tell people the statistics ( 1 in 10 women in… read more
So I was just diagnosed with Endo. This makes me want to start trying now. A child has always been a big deal to me. My husband doesn’t want to start trying yet. Everyone around us keeps telling us we need to. What if you wait then you can’t have kids. I keep telling him I don’t want to point fingered if we want and the chances are gone. Idk what to do. How do I conceive him I want to start trying. He keeps telling me it will be fine and it won’t be an issue. But me who has anxiety I always… read more
