I still think I have endo behind the bowel & bladder bc it was never removed so I was wondering if the MRI would show anything?. I have heard others say it shows endo but then I heard it doesn't. Just trying to look for answers.
Interesting article, @tigreeyes.
My understanding is that it can show on a MRI, but a negative MRI doesn't rule it out. For example, I had one MRI done by a radiologist who doesn't specialize in Endo and he didn't see a whole lot of changes that another MRI found. The other MRI was read by a radiologist that my endo surgeon trusted because he knew what very subtle and specific signs to look for. So I think it also depends on the radiologist's skill and desire to spend the time reading the MRI fully.
My endo was only diagnosed by MRI, I had so many ultrasounds, x-rays, physical exams, colonoscopies etc. and it took an MRI before they found anything.
Definitely discuss appropriate medication dosage for the procedure with your doctor.
Thank you. I know some people say it does not show but I have heard others have so I hope I do get some kind of answers.
Mine has never showed on MRI or CT Scan.
