Is there anything I can do to help the pain or recovery time after my surgery? My consultant is 99% sure I’ve got Endometriosis and he thinks it’s on my bladder. Any help or advice will be much appreciated.

1. Take your meds as prescribed.
2. I needed ice for the first 5 days of healing and then a heating pad/ hot water bottle helped.
3 laying on your back can get tough if you aren’t used to it. I had to prop a big pillow under my legs/knees to help. What I really was wishing I had was a pregnancy pillow. Those help prop you up all around your body.
4. If you have dogs or cats, you will want a pillow over your abdomin to protect you from them jumping on you.
5. You will need a pillow over your abdomin to squeeze down on for when you caugh or sneeze.
6. Drink plenty of water and at least once a day a Gatorade or Powerade.
7. urinate every time you need to right away. It will release pressure.
6. Pooping might be difficult, might need a laxative.
8. crackers and anti nausea meds might be your best friend. Peppermint can help.
9. Take it slow. Don’t try to do too much a day.
10. Walking helps a lot.
11. Try sitting up around the 3rd dat post op and see how your body handles that.
12. Eat plain food, but do eat every meal.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I have a binder I use when my pelvic pain got bad before my surgery. I was too afraid to use it after because my bruising was so bad, I couldn’t even wear underwear without hurting. Though a week later I was thinking about wearing it. Didn’t because I wasn’t sure still if it would help or hurt.
