I just stumbled upon this site and I’m so glad I did! I’m 33 years old and was diagnosed with endo when I was 18. I had a laparoscopy shortly after diagnosis. Since having my second child last year and having had now two csections my endo pain is awful and my periods are hell. My OB has given me the option to try the Mirena or Visanne but I honestly have no idea what to try. I’m hesitant to do either but I need some relief. I just got off my course of Visanne. It was quite effective. I was on it for a year. After my first 2 months of being on it, my period stopped and came back a month after I stopped the meds. Which obviously didn’t allow me to live in constant pain. However, I have gained a lot of weight and I can’t seem to lose it no matter how much I’ve tried. I am going to be positive and hope I can lose it soon.
