Tahlequah, OK

I just had a CT scan done two days ago, and apparently a "simple appearing left adnexal cyst measuring 2.7 cm" was found. It went on under an "Impressions" part to say "Simple appearing left ovarian cyst". I'm assuming it's safe to say this is probably endo-related, but was wondering if anyone else here has had similar results from a CT scan?

I have had several “simple cysts” on both my ovaries discovered with CTs and Ultrasounds. You only really need to worry if it is over 4cm, at least that is what I have been told. Anyone can get simple cysts, they can burst and cause severe pain for a little while.

Cysts are a very normal occurrence with endometriosis. Adnexal cysts come and go with our cycles.

Anyone can get get simple cysts, with or without endo, and they usually burst on their own with possible pain. The size if what matters more (e.g. is it larger than 4cm?) and the type. If the cyst is less than 4cm, it's usually a wait and see approach and get checked again on a few months on whether ot resolved or grew. Complex cyst become something they most likely will take a closer look at to determine whether it's possibly either a hemmorrahgic cyst filled with blood (ive had those and theyre not as scary as they sound), a dermoid cyst (grosser than it sounds), or an endometrioma (which IS only related to higher stage endo).

I have and the doctors treated with a little pill. They said that it will scrink the cyst. I took it for a week. And it went away.
