Hey all! It’s been 5 weeks since I’ve had my first laparoscopic surgery along with a DNC. I just ended my first period since the surgery which sucked major ass but im curious what everyone else’s experiences have been after their first period after the surgery as well as experience after their first surgery? I still don’t feel like the surgery has helped. I have pain still so I don’t know if that’s because I’m still healing? TIA

You are still healing internally, it took me almost 3 months to feel okay again. And the first period after any of the 3 laparoscopy I've had was the absolute worst, bled for almost 2 weeks and practically wished I could live on the toilet for that duration. It was pure hell.. I hope you have a speedy recovery, but dont push yourself, that will only make the healing process longer!

I know personally after my surgery it was EXTREMELY PAINFUL. My doctor told me the first peroid would be but ever since surgery my peroids have been painful and HEAVY. Hope this helped.

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member thank you for the feedback! I’m trying to take it easy, I’ve been living on the heating pad haha that seems to make things much easier! How far apart were each of your three surgery’s?

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member I’m so sorry to hear that. Yes I had mine on November 25th and I’ve had one period so far but I feel like I’m back at square one. Now my periods are heavy and I’m cramping so badly, even between my periods I have pain. I feel like this didn’t help me at all and I feel so bummed about it. I hope you feel better, and with time we are healed and remember what it feels like to be “normal” haha because I forgot too
