I was told 2 weeks and I waited that long, but I recovered quickly. Listen to your body, you will know when it is time.
Everyone heals differently, so if it's painful for you, listen to your body. Take it slow and give your body as much time as it needs to heal. You'll know when its go time for you or whether its taking too long to heal.

I was told not to have sex for a month and no sport exercises for the next three month 🤷🏽♀️
Everybody recovers differently. It seems that your op was quite extensive. I would listen to your body and if something doesn't feel right, don't do it.
And it is worth taking to the doctor if based on his experience he was expecting a different outcome by now.
