Lupron VS Orlissa
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

So i have pain on my left side. My doctor said lupron or orlissa would work. But hes letting me pick. I saw lupron is a chemo drug because its apparently more to keep hormones at bay while on chemo. And orlissa i know is fairly new. I just want to know side affects and whatever from anyone who has done either or?

I take orilissa it works but i had to do a upper dosage now cause my endo is more pain . Its a little pricey by little i mean very pricey . I had to get help by the orillissa company as a secondary insurance to cover most of it now instead of paying $900 monthly I pay $5.00 a month . The first 2weeks your emotions will be high and low afterwards its calms your period and pains . I hope it works for you

I've actually taken both of them. I much prefer Orilissa over Lupron. The side effects are very comparable to that of Lupron, however. I do find that my day-to-day pain is at least manageable. I recommend doing research on the side effects and deciding if you'd like to give it a try. If you do, I highly recommend taking a bone health supplement!
