Can A Woman Get Severe Gastrointestinal Issues After Having A Hysterectomy?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I had a hysterectomy in 2010. And in 2015 I started having severe gastrointestinal symptoms, like severe cramping, severe diarrhea, and constipation. I don't know if this is normal or if it's even endo? Any input would be great. Thanks.

Your current symptoms could be from a wide variety of things, endo, scar tissue/adhesions, IBS, etc. I’d agree to address it with your primary care doctor once it’s safe to schedule an appointment!

Maybe scar tissue or adhesions attached to intestines. Wouldn't be a bad idea to make an appointment.

Have you had this done more than once? I’ve had it done 3 times and the pain relief lasts up to two years but I can tell when I’m getting closer to the next needed surgery
