Wondering if anybody who has taken Visanne has experienced thinning of their hair???
I spoke with my hair dresser yesterday and she did confirm that the spot i see is in fact thinner. She said that usually 6 months after starting progesterone that its normal for hair loss or thinning, your body will get used to it though. She said that mine shouldnt get any worse. Its not bad by any means i personally just noticed it because its the hair on my head.
Hi kmorden I know this is an old post but I wondered how your hair is getting on? I've been on visanne for 3.5months and my hair loss is really upsetting me, especially because it was on the thin side already and I'm getting married next summer and don't want to have no hair! It does seem to be helping with my endo symptoms though so I feel a bit stuck. Also worried about symptoms after coming off it.
I have been instructed to take vitamin D and calcium daily to help prevent that. I believe that after 2 years i will have to go for a bone density scan.
I personally havent had any other bad side effects from it though. My pain and discomfort are gone, maybe like once or twice a month ill feel something but not bad. Over all much happier! Everyone has different side effects though.
I'm so glad you posted this question!
I have been prescribed Visanne, and am feeling a bit anxious about the potential side effects. Eek.
