Not a physician, but maybe hormone related... women get 3 different types of headaches- 1. Tension (muscles are tight & feels like pressure on both sides of the head), 2. Migrane headaches (usually unilateral- one sided- light & sound sensitivity, can be made worse with physical activity), 3. Hormone triggered headache. I hope you get some answers!!!
I will now occasionally get migraines/ nausea inducing headaches with light sensitivity right before my period, but I remember when I was on hormonal birth control I would have a migraine every friday, as strange as that sounds. I wasn't able to convince my dr it was connected, but I went off of the pill and added magnesium rich foods (ex. Spinach) to my diet and they basically went away for about a decade.
try adding more fruits, veggies and berries to your diet. I take supplements and it has helped alot. I also have been drinking hot green tea and hot peach ginger tea and it seems to help.
I am willing to try anything even primrose supplements and rose tea because the pain and feelings are horrendous.
Have you been treated for migraines? I've often have severe headaches and endo will make it worse.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member It feels like a combo of migraine & hormone. What works for your hormone headaches? Ibuprofen & acetaminophen might as well be sugar pills lol. Ice pack and rest is all that seems to work, just waiting it out, y’know?
