I am planning a road trip this winter before Christmas. Is it a good idea to take two bags? What sort of things would you bring? I will obviously have medicine for pain relief. And toiletries too. Tips wanted on packing.

Members offered practical packing advice for someone planning a road trip with endometriosis, with key recommendations including a foldable blanket for rest breaks, a heating pad and pillow for pain management, and comfortable clothing with extra layers for warmth. Several members suggested bringing essentials like healthy snacks, water, pain medication, a phone charger, and items that provide comfort at home, such as a personal pillow or special shoes. A recurring theme was prioritizing comfort and mobility needs while traveling, with encouragement to pack light but thoughtfully and to bring anything that helps manage symptoms on the road.

For me, essentials always include my pillow. I have a buckwheat pillow for pain in my neck, and it's essential. Just think of things you rely on at home. If you have dietary restrictions, that might mean pre-cooking some meals that are safe to eat unrefrigerated. You may want special, very comfy shoes. If you're sleeping in your car, bring an extra pair of fluffy socks and PJs with bottoms.
