Has any one tried the spinal cord stimulator implants for pain? they said they can implant it to hit the nerves that go to the organs in your pelvis. As I have been looking into it I have heard good things, I just haven't heard anything about endometriosis patents getting one.
I saw my obgyn today and she said she has patients that do very well with it and my pelvic floor pt said the same thing. I am considering it since my out of pocket is payed for the year and it will be covered.
Pelvic floor PT is very helpful.
no i have never heard of this, i was doing PT for pelvic pain
I was told to not do it because there is a trial where a patient must ne hospitalized and leads implanted surgically and temporarily. Then if it works, the pump is placed under the skin. I was told that in the beginning, the pump needs to be calibrated and there is much time spent at the doctor's office every week.
I decided against it as my doctor recommended not doing it.
That was my experience. Please do research. This was many years ago when it first came out.
