I have the been experiencing vaginal bleeding after bowel movements but at no other point in the day, has anyone experienced this?
Hmm. Do you pain during bowel movements or a lot of pain after sex? These are usually signs of bowel & rectal endometriosis. It frequently grows in the Pouch of Douglas, the space between the uterus & rectum & connects the uterus to the rectum, so then you usually have deep pelvic pain after sex from the cervix & uterus moving & pulling on the attached bowel, & pain during bowel movements including vaginal pain sometimes. Wondering if the vaginal bleeding is another sign of this.
That definitely sounds like bowel endometriosis. It will be helpful to get a diagnosis however if your regular OBGYN is the one doing the surgery they will not be able to remove bowel Endometriosis, you need an Endometriosis specialist for that & unfortunately there are so few that most drs don't even know that they exist. We usually find them in the Facebook group Nancy's Nook Endometriosis Education. You can join then go to the files section & search for surgeons, you'll see a list.
I would definitely reach out to a few of them your own to see if they take your health insurance & can do a consultation to see if it would be better to have surgery with them, that way if you are diagnosed with endometriosis, you can get the diseased tissue thoroughly removed at the same time. Rather than going through the extra pain, expense & hassle of having two surgeries.
The vast majority of us don't have significant pain relief after our diagnostic laps unfortunately & end up having to have surgery again. Each surgery creates scar tissue so it's much better to minimize the # that you need to have. Don't want to stress you out by telling you this but I do wish someone had told me & saved me time, money & unnecessary pain.
Oh right this is your diagnostic - duh of course it's your first time. I'm a little out of it today! I hope it goes really well & he gets everything!
I haven’t it’s my first one!
Oh great!! I have heard he is a good surgeon. Have you already had surgery with him before?
