It’s scheduled for next week (Valentines day ha!). I’m only 31 so I don’t have friends who have been through a hysterectomy and excision at my age. My first excision knocked me down so hard and I took forever to fully heal. Any tips for ways to heal after the surgery? Things you wish you had known going through it?? They’re leaving my ovaries but taking tubes, uterus, and cervix (which I just found out from my pap that it has precancerous matter on it).
Although due to pre cancer cells that's entirely different and I would maybe consider a hysterectomy then just to be on the safe side as even though it's a big procedure the pros could possibly weigh… read more
I have endometriosis of the uterus
I had a total hysterectomy about two years ago, but still have both my ovaries. The pain relief was great, especially because I had adenomyosis as well. I’ve been having a lot of hormone issues again… read more
I'm about to start it- will let you know.🤞
Obgyn is wanting to take tubes out during my excision procedure... pros and cons of tube removal or hysterectomy?? I know removing the endometriosis is 1st step, but will removing tubes or having a hysterectomy help at all??
It's not my own personal experience, but my mom had a hysterectomy that took out everything except one lonely ovary. She says it was the best thing she ever did. Life-changing, in a good way. And… read more
Hi all, sorry for the intimate nature of this question. I am reading up about the hysterectomy I will be having in June. I have read conflicting reports about womens sex life after loss of their cervix. Some say they they can still orgasim and enjoy sex while others say they no longer have it at all. Just wondering if anyone has had any bad experiences after the removal. Thanks :)
It's always nice to hear options suit the person in every way . I hope it's extremely successful operation . God bless

I've had Endometriosis since I was 16 years-old, I was officially diagnosed with Endo around the age 23/24 years-old, I do wish to have children, but I now have a full-time job. Part-time jobs, when I experience Endo pains, were easier for me, but the income was impossible to receive for me on my end
I've tried about everything over the counter. (The list of what I have tried and the results are below.) I have had four different OBGYNs helping me with this (2 doctors retired and my insurance… read more

New here but sadly not to endometriosis. Obviously I live with the burden of this disease running my life and marriage so after a year of being told I need a hysterectomy I have scheduled it. The Dr is saying 6 weeks for healing. We are doing laparoscopic with the possibility of abdominal removal as I have Stage 4 and it is covering my bowels and possibly reached my bladder. Any of you who have had a hysterectomy please tell me how long did it take until you could move around at least for an… read more
