I feel really hopeless. I used to be an athlete who would run 80 miles a week at 7 min/mile pace. Now I sleep half the day. The fatigue is debilitating. I have managed to keep running because that makes me feel better. But I can't stay awake half the day and I don't know what to do. I want to accomplish stuff and somebody soon hold down a job. My old job before the pandemic was very active, which helped me stay alert. I was also good at it. Should I try to follow in that direction? I… read more
I feel your fatigue im same way i too use to be super active i worked 12-16hr shifts w/o breaks end of day i put in so many miles it was chaotic. Now im lucky if i have energy at all some days i am sooo exhausted but cannot sleep at all while others ots difficult to get up. You're definitely not alone honey, we're here. And whenever you feel like you're lying maybe try to be assertive and as open as possible. If your not at that stage in relationship simply try saying something like this is a very sensitive topic for me and i dont wish to make it a discussion state that you have a condition that's not visible but is very much so real and causes you to be extremely tired and that it's painful. Ask that people don't speak about it. You'll talk more when comfortable. You're doing a great job we are who we are we handle things best we can its clear you're trying to improve your health. We're here for you!!! Small steps lead to big places. 😊
Man I felt you when you said that you don’t like to talk about it because you don’t want to weird people out... I feel like I did that the other day lol by my body waking me up stupid early and having a panic attack while my bf was sleeping, I woke him up freaking out and he just looked like he didn’t know what to do. I had to go in the other room and make myself get my Shit together. After that I felt like this is something that I’m probably gunna have to keep to myself and hold it in cause people aren’t gunna understand ever the ones closest to me. I feel alone at times but I not gunna let them know that. I would rather talk about it to y’all on here cause you guys know what’s up

@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member - No problem! Also let yourself sleep as much as you need. I have to sleep about 9 hrs a day (used to be 11+ before the diet & lifestyle changes). Our bodies need extra rest because our immune systems are constantly fighting the endometriosis tissue.
