I'm confused about putting crushed pills inside of me and it staying in to bring relief. Bc if I take one by mouth...I'm rolling around for an hour before the pain meds kick in. I can't get in with my doctor until next month to even ask her about the Valium...and I'm going to have severe pain days starting soon. I can tell more and more frequently when they're going to start. And I am having more bad than good days for pain. Should I Google the Norco question?
Have you talked to an excision specialist on Nancy's Nook? sometimes obgyns are not always correct. I have the breast cancer gene and I am still able to get an excision. I also had a neuroendocrine cancer tumor removed so I would make sure you can get the surgery before getting a hysterectomy.
@A MyEndometriosisTeam Member - I am so sorry you have this gene & have been told you'll absolutely get cancer 😞 totally fine to have a hysterectomy later to prevent cancer but that doesn't mean you can't have excision surgery now. I agree with the other ladies that you should definitely find an experienced excision surgeon in Nancy's Nook Endometriosis Education group on Facebook. They track patient outcomes for endometriosis excision specialists. Once you find the list for your state you can search for each of their names in the group & you'll see patient feedback posts.
I also recommend calling your drs office about the valium vaginal suppositories that Chaya mentioned. Ask if there's any way your dr can prescribe it without seeing you, or through a telehealth visit, since your period is coming up & you're having a lot of fear/anxiety anticipating the extreme pain.
Tell them they can call you back if your dr isn't available & also say that if your dr absolutely won't prescribe it without seeing you, then you want to know if it's safe for you to take CBD. You can get 100mg vaginal/rectal CBD suppositories that are supposed to really help during periods here:

Hi! As I said, please Join Nancy's Nook Endometriosis Education on FB or go to NancysNookEndo.com. Look for the CEC, Center for Endometriosis Care, in Atlanta. My surgeon is Dr. Jeffrey Arrington. Dr. Ken Sinervo is the Medical Director. Both are sensational.
There are valium/baclofen and valium/diclofenac vaginal/rectal suppositories that can be prescribed and sent to a compounding pharmacy. They work well.
My doctors said to not put crushed pills vaginally.
Are you able to tell when a pain flare is starting or know when it's going to? I would take a Norco then. Do NOT let the pain get ahead of you.
Are you getting or have you gotten pelvic floor PT? Have you had excision with a vetted endometriosis EXCISION specialist? That is SOOOO important.
If you're on FB, join Nancy's Nook Endometriosis Education. If not, go to NancysNookEndo.com. I found my excision specialist on Nancy's Nook. I could not have asked for anyone better!! I went to the CEC in Atlanta.
