I'm specifically asking women who still have their ovaries and are premonopause are not on any hormone inhibitors (like Lupron). It is so weird to me because it starting showing in my bloodwork after excision surgery and my hysterectomy (complete, not radical) that I have low estrogen levels. I figured it was my body adjusting to the excising of the endometriomas as well as maybe the removal of my tubes, but the low estrogen has continued to stay abnormally low and I am definitely experiencing… read more
Surgeries can cause that to happen, even if not removed.
So I have a consult this Thursday for a laparoscopy the surgeon is not an endo expert surgeon but he is a gyno/MD/FACOG
He isn’t my first pick but my first pick who is an endo master surgeon can’t get me in just for a consult till October 19th. I don’t think I can’t wait that long with the constant pain I’m experiencing, if he offers surgery should I do it or wait for the best in my area???
Please help I need any advice, info, opinions?
As things have progressed, I find myself wondering what is “normal.” This might be TMI but does anyone else get vaginal bleeding/spotting outside of their period when trying for a bowel movement? I know it’s vaginal. I had it earlier on but it seems to just be worse and worse. Thanks ladies.
I know this was a while ago but I’m wondering if you were able to find out what was going on? I have similar symptoms of vaginal bleeding after I eat certain foods (inflammatory I’m guessing) and… read more
I was planning on going to a march for endometriosis awareness month as well as a conference for teens/young adults with endo, both were cancelled due to coronavirus. I was wondering if anyone knows any online alternatives to learn about endo research/ connect with people/ promote awareness.
I thought I saw something on Facebook, not sure I could find it again. May have been on the My Endometriosis Team Facebook page?
Been having this for last couple of weeks, ive been having prostap injections for 5 months and have a coil, any ideas what it could be? Im sure its not gas! I have 2 kids so i know what its like when a baby kicks and it feels exactly the same
Yes I have felt this before a lot and not preggers.
My gynecologist told me that she is certain I have endometriosis as well as pcos, with all my symptoms fitting them perfectly. But she also informed me that it would require surgery to confirm it so that I can get the treatment needed. I can’t take time out of work or college to do the surgery and life is miserable living it in pain and sleeplessness all the time. It’s not just a matter of missing out on work or school, it’s the money too. I can’t afford to be off more than a day, and I’ve been… read more
I can't answer why but I agree that it is ridiculous and unfair. I had the discovery surgery just to get told "yes you have it" and had to have the excision surgery 3 weeks later. Such a waste.
Hi everyone! I am 25 and have learnt i have endometrioma in my left ovarian (4cm) and high CA125 level, my doctor wants me on Visanne. I have read so many side effects and therefore i couldnt dare taking Visanne.. I am on Yasmin contraceptive pill instead. My mother told me she also had endometriosis when she was few years older than me and even with endometrioma in one ovarian, she could get pregnant and give birth to my sister.. Could you share with me if you have similar experiences… read more

I am new to this and have been going to doctors with pain since January this year. I finally was referred and went to my OBGYN in July. She diagnosed me with Endo and said to take constant contraceptive pills for 6 months to try to manage the pain. So far I'm only 7 weeks into the 6 months and I'm struggling with the pain more and more each day. It's effecting my work and my relationship and I don't really understand enough about the diagnosis yet. Should I still wait it out and go back in… read more
I wouldn't wait that long suffering definitely go and see her sooner hun
New here but sadly not to endometriosis. Obviously I live with the burden of this disease running my life and marriage so after a year of being told I need a hysterectomy I have scheduled it. The Dr is saying 6 weeks for healing. We are doing laparoscopic with the possibility of abdominal removal as I have Stage 4 and it is covering my bowels and possibly reached my bladder. Any of you who have had a hysterectomy please tell me how long did it take until you could move around at least for an… read more
I had a hysterectomy in June of 2022 and honestly I don’t recall the specifics of when exactly I was able to move around, but I do remember I used my mom’s walker the first month and then as I was… read more
Although I am happy to put a name to my pain, Im having a little bit of a difficult time coming to terms with my diagnosis.
I had a laparoscopy yesterday, found out it was endometriosis. They “burnt” the patch away, think I’m only stage 1. I’ve got loads of questions as I was still asleep when the consultant went, so got… read more
