Exercises For Endo!?
A MyEndometriosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hey ladies! What are some low impact exercises you’ve found to be effective not really inflamed days? I’ve started to walk a ton more, but by time I’m done, I’m too exhausted to break out the weights or do any sort of workout. Also, are there any affordable protein powders you use and like? I make smoothies a lot. Thanks!

Walk, walk, walk! The more you walk the more stamina you get. Make it a habit. Why do you need powder proteins when nature has it all available to you. Powdered protein can make you bloated, and it contains a number of chemical you can't even spell ! Please read about soy and endometriosis. It contains natural estrogens. That is one food I avoided because the last thing you need when you have endo is more estrogen! Please read my post. Wishing you a life free of pain.

I walk as well, it works if you keep it up. Other workouts trigger my chronic pain.

Those big yoga ball/balance ball/Swiss ball things. You can use them for super basic core stuff without much cardio demand so you aren't encouraging inflammation. If you want to do some low intensity, slow, controlled leg or core movements it's a great way to improve balance, strength, and posture without too much force through your muscles or joints. Having music and timing or pacing your movement to the music is also calming and can make the time seem pass quicker so you don't end up trying to rush or overdo it and end up regretting it the next day. Even incorporating passive sitting on one of those for a little while during a Netflix binge is better than nothing. 💛

Forget the weights! :-) Working out with weights is not my thing. I prefer, tennis, walking, yoga and pilates. Give it a try! Wishing you a life free of pain.

I used to be so active but the last 2 years I've been feeling the same way. Get your ferritin and b12 checked. Sometimes endometriosis can affect our digestive systems and we don't absorb the appropriate minerals and vitamins. The extra bleeding will deplete your iron stores. If your Dr won't test it go to your own lab.
