Hi
I don't know how far away it would be for you but I know that Dr. Seckin who helped found the endometriosis foundation is based in New York. He has books and published research about the importance of skillful excision surgery. I don't know if he is accessible but maybe that could be a place to start?
But at the end of the day, as overwhelming as this disease is, it is a very dynamic disease that impacts our unique bodies in so many ways. I wish there were concrete answers for us. But ultimately, we have to be our own advocates. I have a lot of questions about hormonal interventions too. My doctor recommended Orilissa but it has very mixed reviews, some that are scary. Nancy's Nook has a fabulous learning library on endometriosis that is free. I am still working my way through those pages.
Hi there,
Everyone's story regards this horrid disease is so unique. I can only tell you my own personal thoughts on the Birth control. Depending on how severe your endo is and how far its travelled in your body depends on whats best suited to you. I've had 3 laproscopies and have had multiple Cysts removed. I've had a lot of hemoglobin problems, which lead to needing transfusions. so with that I'm now on the Marina coil, it was only put in 3 months ago so this is still settling. It has regulated my body but there is still heavy bleeds. I will have more insight after another 3 months. So all depending on your own journey how you plan on moving forward is up to yourself but ask your doctor all tge questions get all the info and if your not happy with the answer ask another question, get a second opinion. Once you've got all your information then decide whats best for you & follow your gut instinct.
Best of luck to you 👍 ❤
